The project brings together specialists in microelectronics, neurosciences, optogenetics, wireless systems, and preclinical validation, as well as industrial and clinical partners.\r\n\r\nThe OSI aims to create a miniaturized optical spinal implant combining optogenetic stimulation, fluorescence detection, embedded processing, and wireless communication. This closed-loop neuromodulation platform is designed to precisely target circuits associated with neuropathic and nociceptive pain, while  adhering to strict constraints regarding power, size, safety, and biocompatibility.\r\n\r\nThe recruited individual will contribute to the central microelectronic system of the OSI along one of two complementary branches: (1) design of ultra-low-power biomedical integrated circuits or (2) development of embedded artificial intelligence and TinyML algorithms for detection and closed-loop control. Strong expertise in only one branch is sufficient to apply; the work will be carried out in collaboration with specialists from the other branch.","lieu":"Laval University, Quebec","timeline":"Applications reviewed on an ongoing basis","liens_action":[{"libelle":"Express My Interest","url":"","fichier":"","style":"primary"},{"libelle":"Consult PDF File","url":"","fichier":236,"style":"secondary"}]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-opening\/237","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-opening"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job-opening"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=237"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"domain","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/domain?post=237"},{"taxonomy":"profil","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/project-osi.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profil?post=237"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
